But we were lucky, and despite some snow along the road it was open. This highway is eligible for the State Scenic Highway System and is indeed one of the greatest rides I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, we had to hurry, as the plan was to reach the Yellowstone in one time, which roughly meant 1500 km, thus I didn’t have as much time as I would like to wander around and take photos, but we did stop a couple of times. I believe, the bigger lake is the Lake Alpine.
