Hope (Occupy San Francisco)

It’s one of my favorite street portraits, though it’s not that easy to specify why. Maybe because of the sheer charisma of these young guys. Maybe they remind me of my youth, my buddies and our own childish dreams of changing the world. Maybe I just feel sorry for them, knowing that their touching hope was doomed, that their noble course has been crushed. I wonder what happened to these guys.
