But we were lucky, and despite some snow along the road it was open. This highway is eligible for the State Scenic Highway System and is indeed one of the greatest rides I’ve ever seen.

Road to Yellowstone: through Sierra Nevada (part 1)
After the night at the Angels Camp, we took California State Route 4 to pass Sierra Nevada. What we didn’t thought of was that this highway is often closed due to snow, elevation and narrowness, especially so in the winder, but sometimes even from November to May.
