The Rise and Fall of Occupy San Francisco

skorobogatov-aleksandr_occupy_san-francisco.jpgYet another entry for the photoblog: The Rise and Fall of Occupy San Francisco. I was in San Francisco when the Occupy’s site was born. I’ve seen it growing from one tent to dozens, from a couple of young men to a community with its own structure, order and ideology of velvet revolution and power to the people. Back to San Francisco in half a year later, I went to see what was happening at the Occupy site, just to discover it’s disappeared. What remained from these dozens of tents and youth and dreams was a table, a handful of guys, four friendly cops watching the guys, and an empty site. Death of the dream.
